Dr. Guiselle Ponce
Dr. Guiselle Ponce, DNP is a board-certified Doctor of Nursing Practice with a specialization in orthopedics, sports medicine, and regenerative therapy. She brings over a decade of experience in pediatric and adult emergency/trauma care, including roles at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and Jackson Memorial Hospital. A top graduate and valedictorian, she earned her BSN and MSN from Florida International University and completed her DNP with magna cum laude honors in 2023.
Her doctoral research focused on improving orthopedic knowledge among advanced practice providers (APPs) through educational modules. The project, housed in the FIU DNP repository, demonstrated significant knowledge gains and highlighted gaps in musculoskeletal assessment skills among APPs. This inspired Dr. Ponce to advocate for better conservative management of orthopedic issues.
Trained alongside orthopedic physicians in ultrasound-guided injections and joint assessments, Dr. Ponce aims to teach these skills to future providers. Passionate about resilience and recovery, she views orthopedic healing as both a physical and personal journey—believing, as she says, “Like bones that heal stronger with every break, resilience is built from the fractures we overcome.”
Our Mission
